Description

Check out our last trap.

We call it the Tunnel Trap. We made it more compact and with a tunnel over the plank to keep those extremely skittish mice from jumping off the plank before they get dropped into the bucket. The smaller size allows us to charge a bit less for it.

NEW IMPROVED Mouse Trap: The flap and body are thicker with a beefed up hinge!

Touchless sensor triggers the microcontroller to actuate a servo motor to drop the rodent into a bucket. Then resets for the next victim.

Works best mounted on a 5 gallon plastic bucket. Bucket lip may need to be trimmed to fit trap. Add some peanut butter or any preferred mouse bait to the bait holder at the end of the trap. Add a ramp made of cardboard or wood to allow rodent to climb up to the trap, power it up and catch a bucket full of critters! Can also put a couple inches of RV anti-freeze in bucket or a bag of rat poison to dispatch your catch.
Great for your cabin or camper when they are left unattended for extended periods of time.
Warning: Excessive humidity and moisture can corrode the electronics.
All traps now printed with ABS plastic which is good to 170 F or 77 C and is rated for outdoor use but if used outdoors moisture can damage the electronics.

It takes 4 hours and 44 minutes to print plastic parts of the trap.

SIDE NOTE: We have been testing the battery life in a couple mouse traps starting 11-23-20. Triggered it every day for the first month now just triggering every couple days or once a week. The battery is still at 5.37 volts as of 5-27-21. The servo will continue to operate down to 4.6 volts. The 4 Duracell alkaline batteries voltage started at 6.42 volts. The traps have been indoors. Battery life will degrade much faster in colder temps. 6 months and still going strong!

Wow, this is the best mouse trap I have come across. Works great. Caught a bucket full of mice in the first week.

  2. Clay LaPorte (verified owner)

I thought this product was going to be really great. However, the majority of this product is made from a very weak material. It broke twice before I could even set it up in a bucket. Another part, the plank reset arm, weakened so much that the plank does not fully go all the way back up. There are several modifications and upgrades this trap needs. I build all kinds of things myself and I would have made several modifications to it if this was my product. This trap is a great concept, but needs plenty more upgrades before it should keep being sold.

We offered Clay free replacements with the new improved Mouse Traps. He chose to upgrade to the Long Flap Rat trap. We hope he is happy with his new trap.

The first version of this design was quite flimsy. I recently received the newest version and it is quite stout. I put the batteries in and baited it with peanut butter and it has been working flawlessly for a week. Caught 6 mice so far!
